Billy called DH Dad several times yesterday before I got home from work. DH said he acted like it was a slip up each time but did it several. This made me happy because I knew he would call DH Dad first, they are so very close.
Tonight, however, he was giving me a hug and said, I love you MOM. I wasn't sure what I heard at first and was giving him a hard time about calling me Stace and he said, NO I said Mom. I almost peed my pants! But I stayed calm and when he stood up the most beautiful smile was on his face.
He didn't say it again tonight but I really think he is trying it out to see how it feels. He has been telling us things we do differently then anybody else he has lived with. We hug him more, let him sit on our laps and scratch his back for a long time. He has told us nobody else he has lived has done any of these things. We kiss him and hug him constantly. I don't know of a better way to let him know we love him.
Being a mommy is sooooooo cooolllll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh how sweet! He's growing and attaching to ya'll so much which is so awesome!
Make sure you have a notebook or something that you're writing all these progressions in so you can look back and see. I'm sure he'll want to look at it as well some day!

I totally agree with Traci...all these special moments if you made him a scrapbook or something to give to him when he is older...how much does he have from his past ? I cant remember if you mentioned it or not but this would be extra extra special
