I posted this on the mommy board but thought I should let you know too since I'm mostly here
We are leaving in the AM for Disney World with my whole family. We're all arriving in the next couple days and are staying until Tuesday the 15th! I can't wait! I"m almost done packing but still much to do before we go.
So I'll be back..make sure you don't forget me! Tee hee!!

OK...I had a minute to type out my trip story--no pics yet, but here ya go!
Emily surprised me by going up to the first character she saw in the Magic Kingdom. It was King Louie, and he is quite large, but she wasn’t fazed at all! She gave him her autograph book & pen then stood in front for her picture. She usually ended up right in front of Jessica where she felt safer, but she really enjoyed seeing all the characters.
Her face was priceless when she saw “Rella’s Castle” for the first time. She was very sad when she had to say goodbye to it too, but she was also very ready to come home. Whenever we went by a parking lot she would say “Mommy’s car all gone. Where is it?” and I’d have to remind her about the plane ride and that the car was waiting at home for us. Lol
She traveled really well (Jet Blue is HIGHLY recommended!!) and outside of an hour-long fit in the Mexico Pavilion at Epcot she behaved really well. For a minute or two I even thought about getting her one of those child leashes but I don’t particularly care for them and she ended up being a better listener than I thought she might be. Thank heavens she never wandered off. She slept really well even when her naps were later in the day and enjoyed all the kiddy rides, fire works, parades, etc….She even slept through the Fantasmic show which is extremely loud!
I don’t think I need to mention that Jessica had the time of her life. Tomorrow is her birthday but we celebrated it with some family down at Disney and she was thoroughly humiliated by a Barbershop Quartet who sang Happy Birthday to her on Main Street. It was adorable—and I think she secretly liked it! We had a dinner with Goofy, Chip & Dale, and Minnie Mouse and they all came by to wish her a happy day and sing to her too. It was so sweet. Oh—and Emily now knows the difference between Chip & Dale and when she saw them at another character dinner she knew which was which-and kept asking for Chip!
So…all in all, although Emily traveled well and it was a great trip I think I would wait a couple more years with Katie. I would like to go when no one needs a stroller and when they can go on the majority of the rides which would be a few inches from now! Lol We went this year for a variety of reasons and I wouldn’t change the trip we just took but next time I’d *try* to wait and go 4 or 5 years from now. Never say never, but that’s my gut feeling. It was very tiring but a wonderful time anyhow. My family was very patient with us (there were 9 of us and we met up with my brother and his family of 5 a few times too) and got a kick out of seeing Emily running around.
Oh—and an added bonus was that Emily went the entire week without diapers (except nighttime) even when going on & off all those bumpy rides!! J
So that’s my Disney story, short (?) and sweet! Glad ya asked?!

You're trip sounds like it was fabulous! That's great that Em acted very good & also potty trained during the day! WTG Em!!
I would fly Jet Blue but they don't fly in/out of DFW... We saw tons of signs for them in Boston last time we were up and were disappointed when we found out they aren't down here...
I bet Jess loved all the attention, she just didn't want to tell everyone she did! Happy Birthday Jess!!
