My husband & I are heading to Montreal for our first wedding aniversary. We are staying at Hotel Champlain (Marroitt). Do you have any recomendations for dinner, entertaining, shopping etc. ? How about weather? What should I pack? We are heading to Montreal on 9/25/03 for a long weekend.
I've lived in Montreal all my life, and there is plenty to do here! Instead of trying to piece together information from memory, I'm going to give you this url so that you can explore it at your leisure.
If the link doesn't work, go to the site and type in Montreal, Canada and it'll guide you there.
There is one place that I can think of, that you will love. My boyfriend and I are going there this weekend for our 2nd anniversary. It's the Tour de Ville Delta Hotel Revolving Rooftop Restaurant
It's very important to call ahead for a table!! It's very popular and if you show up without a reservation you probably won't make it in. They have wonderful food and the rooftop experience is unforgettable. We're starting a tradition of going there for our anniversary every year.
Enjoy your stay!!

Oh yeah as for what to pack, try to bring things that will keep you comfortable in both warm and cool weather (layers are best)... it's that time of year where you just can't predict whether it will be nice or chilly. The day can start out cool, but by the afternoon it's hot! Then cools off after dark. I don't know what to say, our weather is pretty crazy in the autumn! lol
If you would like to know more, or to just chat about Montreal, send me a private message

XERI- thanks for all the info. My wedding aniversary is september 21. We are in a wedding this weekend and were unable to go away. So we pushed our plans for the following weekend. We were able to get tickets to see the musical Fosse. I'm looking forward to heading to Montreal. have only been there a couple of times before. My father is from a small village outside of Quebec city called St. Rose. As a child we went there every year in November and sometimes in the summer also.

I was just scrolling through the messages and I saw this thread. How was your trip to Montreal? Did you get to enjoy the rooftop restaurant?
I hope it was everything you had hoped for!
Take care,
Xeri
