Default Heading to the Naturopath!

GAH, I finally found one that took my insurance, and Im heading there in two days!! Im so sick of having the run around with my GYN, and since BCP dont seem to work at all for me (I mean its like I am not even on them!--or worse, AF goes in to hypogear)... so we spoke and she gave me the option of progesterone, or taking a break and seeing what happens. O opted for the "Taking a break"--DH and I talked, and even though I am out of a job, we are worried about being able to consieve--and im way to suspicious of all this "experimental treatment that may or may not work" crap. So, here goes the naturopathic route. I've never been so excited. I actually read my dream lastnight (silly dream dictionary) but it predicted a good change of events, overcoming a situation that was difficult to handle and some other positive things that I think its leading to this appointment. I'll keep you all updated on how things go! :::::SUPEREXCITEDNESS::::: I just hope I can take back my life!

YEAY! Its so nice to finally meet a doctor who actually listens!! I was there for 2 hours. I have a laundry list of tests to take, but she def thinks everything is related. She gave me some homeopathic meds to take to start to regulate my period-and ease the pain, and gave me some other ones just incase I get the "Biggo Cramps" --she also thought i might me deficient in some magnesium, and suggested some epsom salt baths--she said this would ease the endo pain a bit too!! She also gave me something to get my liver going (Ive always had problems with my liver) and this should help things too. Lastly, not endo related, but my whole back was outta line, and I got adjusted (for the first time ever) -I origonally had a headache, but it went away right then and there, amazing!! Im so excited to start this journey and hopefully get my life back!

I really hope you see results! I saw a dr 3 years ago who was into all supplements/vitamins (but was still MD), and she had me on 18+ vitamins/supplements a day. It didn't help me at all, so I hope you have better luck.

I take baths DAILY. I love baths. It really does help too - for me at least

I feel..... FANTASTIC!! I get a little endo pain here and there, but barely anything so far. I mean its been half a week....but so far so many little differences. I've gotten my sense of smell back (I didnt even know it was gone) and found that my body wash in the shower actually smells really good... and I never noticed it before! My AF bleeding stopped, almost suddenly, Friday (and has beens ince). Which is wonderful, since I've been spotting in between periods (non stop pads!) since October (maybe even september after surgery, I cant quite remember)... fabulous. I hope its the meds she gave me. I've even been less grumpy . I do have another pill im supposed to start aking, but Im not starting that till Wednesday. This one is to get my liver functioning correctly. We wills ee! I'll keep this thread updated

Liver enhancement pill made me VERY gassy, and def a laxative effect. I only took it for one day and stopped to recoup (effects lasted almost a week now). Ill call the Nd tomorrow to see what she thinks. I am also very light headed (almost to passing out--low blood pressure?) and extremely tired. I can barely stand, and I have the aches you sometimes get when your super tired in my joints. On the up side, I barely have any Endo pain at all and still no spotting! I also dropped another pound. Im sure my insides are all confused and changing and thats why im so tired, but Ill check up with the ND anyways. Even if Im tired and achy, this is still better then how i felt a couple of weeks ago.

Just trudging along

Thanks Serrayray... Yeah I kinda figured as much and I believe strongly thats what I am going through now. My body was so used to being messed up and all over the place that I am sure its completely confused and doesnt quite know how to react. I think its amazing how sensitive my body is though. In a good way. I guess could be worse too. But at least I can notice a change, and that makes me feel positive. Even my husband has noticed my whole mindset has changed---I just wish I could sleep more

I have had homeopathy and other treatments such as reflexology, reiki and chinese meds with acupuncture. I found the reflexology and homeopathy (which I had only for PCOS, and I am about to have my lap for endo!) were the best!

Homeopaths say that is takes half the total amount of time to get totally better when having this treatment. For example, if you have had an illness for 3 years, it will take 1 and a half years to go completely, and YES it is normal to get worse before it gets better, but the results are worth waiting for!

Good luck! x

What is the homeopathic med you are on? I am curious if it is Sepia? If not, would you mind sharing? Thanks so much and I hope you continue to see improvement. I may be right behind you!!

Its called Staphysagria 30c. I take 3 pellets twice daily.

Also, Incase I get really bad cramps, she gave me Hydrastig 30c, 3 pellets every 5 mins.

I might have spelled the above wrong, since its hard to read her writing

Now that I am reading up on it, its for mental behavior, which is probably alot of what I have issues with --I guess Ia m a mental case and she saw that!

Apparently all my blood work (like 15 tests) came out fine. Blood sugar was a little elevated---but that might just be from that day or the PCOS--she wasn't concerned. The only thing they did find was that I am REALLY magnesium deficient, which, I am told, could be what is making me so ill all the time! So solution? Well, I could take pill, a bath, or a powdered supplement in water (I chose the bath and the powder supplement!)--Easy fix... And my progress is EXCELLENT--she called me a super star! She also decided to up it a notch and add in a b-vitamin suppliment to help with the aches and tiredness.

Lastly, at the dentist, my teeth were all types of messed up. Seems that all the crap my OBGYN gave me was screwing with my teeth, so they fixed it, and now I am sparkling .... actually, this lady was really surprised --she was like "How did all this stuff happen in just 6 months" when i told her about the meds, she was like "oooooooh"
