I am starting to really hate my health insurance. For one, my co-pays went up this year...45 bucks to go to a specialist...Even though my gyn treats my PCOS as a medical condition, it's still considered a specialist and I have to pay this every time I have to go there. Now here's what I'm really complaining about.....
I got a letter in the mail today saying that our prescritions are going to change. We now have to get our long term medications via mail instead of the local pharmacy. They said we have to get a 90 day supply with refills up to a year. I'm not sure if my doctor will do this. This also means that I will have to be more diligent when it comes to getting them filled. Like what happens if I forget to call the refill in time and I run out before they come in the mail? It's not like now where if I forget, I can get it filled the same day....If we get our long term medication at the pharmacy now, will are going to have to pay full price. So now, I have to call each doctor, ask for 2 refills (one to send in the mail and 1 to get me through 2-3 weeks because I happen to be on my last refill anyway). I'm just so annoyed. Why on earth do they have to make it so difficult???
Does anyone order thru the mail? Does it work ok? Do you get the meds in a timely manner?
