Default Heard of or been tested for Mycoplasma??

Iam going to a new Re after three losses. I had a test done on a infection called Mycoplasma that has been linked to implantation problems and early miscarriage. I had never heard of it or been tested for it my Re said lots of doctors dont test for it. It can be symptom free. Well I tested positive for it and DH and I both have to take meds for it because it is spread back and forth. It is not a std it has the same germ as walking pnemonia and u can get it from door knobs etc. So I dont know if this could be the cause of my losses but Iam treating it and would never have known about it if I wasnt checked and for my new RE. Just thought I would let u all know soo u can check into it if u havent already

it is and I have it and it could possibly be my reason for miscarrying but not sure if its the only thing I have going on yet. But Iam glad to get rid of this because it can cause miscarriage and may be causing mine especially if the other comes back fine

Thanks for the info Shanna, how is it treated? With antibiotics? I've never heard of it either, but I am definitely interested in covering all my bases. I have a cousin who had several miscarriages and 1 second trimester still birth before her doctor's discovered some sort of infection, not sure if that is the one. Once her infection was found and treated she was able to carry to term. I hope your new RE is able to find a cause for you and get you treated so you don't have to suffer any more heartache. GL!

its treated with antibiotics and they said sometimes two rounds, both u and your partner have to be treated. Its worth asking about it sure doesnt help by having it doesnt sound like. I wish it would be just something this easy to cure. Havent heard back on other blood test yet though
