Default Heard of/ or used LIFEQUEST in Toronto

Hey Ladies

Have any of you gone to LifeQuest clinic in Toronto ?

Good or Bad I would love to hear about it. I am looking into it but it's in Toronto downtown and I'm not crazy about that drive from Brantford but I hear they won't even see you if they don't think they can help or achieve a viable PG. The Dr that I was told about is DR Laskin. Any Info would be great TIA

Hi Cooper, I am using LifeQuest downtown Toronto.

I have read some good feedback about Dr. Laskin, do a google search on Laskin and you should find some feedback from IVF.ca from users of LifeQuest who are also patients fo Dr. Laskin.

Baby Dust to you.

Hey Pearls- Have you been using them for awhile and if so what kind of treatment have you recieved. I have looked on there web page and that clinics %'s are very high for PCOS women but I also know that they are very selective on who they treat. My cousin just had IVF there and she just got a BFP with possible twins. I'm just wondering if it's worth the extra $$ they charge because IVF there is a bit more expensive then in Hamilton where I am going. Any of your experiences would be great

Thanks Cooper

Hi Cooper, I having been going to LifeQuest since November of last year and it's been slow going. I have a review session with my doctor in September where I will definately ask her to step it up.

I am currently taking limited meds and doing it the old fashioned way. My only concern is that my doctor dismiss things, which I might just worry too much about. With PCOS, I have a high free testosterone, however she said the meds will address it, but the level is still very high, I did blood work with my family doctor and the result came back very high. Yesterday I enquired about CM with her nurse who assured me that having EWCM has nothing to do with getting pregrant. It has been months since I had my surgery and never have I had the slightess hint of pregnancy and it's worrying me, because after four month with meds and ovualating I believe something should happen at least once.

I don't know if this will help, but this have been my experience thus far. She has not really pushed for me to move to the more expensive procedures as yet, this is almost one-year since I have been going to her.

Pearls - Thanks I mean I really like my DR in Hamilton they are a great group of DR's but I feel like they really dropped the ball with my IVF. I mean I had pretty close to perfect embryo's and my progesterone was too low to substain them. The whole things is I do not know what any of my levels are and I have talk to so many women here. The most of them tried IUI with injectables which my DR didn't we went from taking clomid 3 times and IUI twice to doing IVF. Just my opinion we went from one extreme to another. Sorry I am babbling but I know how you feel about not doing much so no sight of PG. I know it's scary but if it makes you feel any better I know from my cousin that LifeQuest will not take on patients unless they are pretty sure about success. Also have you seem on there website how high there % is with PCOS women it's 75% that's high If you need any encouragement just let me know I understand how ya feel and Thanks again for the info

Thank you very much Cooper. Speaking of progestrone level, my doctor says the test is not reliable, she also said she has precribed progesterone replacement to some patients, but we are not at that stage as yet. I have purchase Vitex for this month, but I am not fully decided whether I should use it. I have a very long luteal phase and I don't know if it's long because I how low progestrone or if something else is wrong.

Thank you for the info, as I get further into this process and I fell like screaming with madness I might just unload on you.

Pearls - Anytime you need to UNLOAD on me go ahead I understand how frustrating it all can be. As for the long LP I would get that checked because if I am not mistaken when you have LOW progersterone you have short LP atleast that's me and I thought that's the rule of thumb but I could be wrong What is Vitex used for I never used it ?

Anyways Thanks for the info and Let me know if ya need anything

Hi Cooper,

Here is URL from this webpage that mentioned Vitex.

~Hopeful Conceptions~#4~ Continuation Soy thread Warm Summer Nights!

Vitex - Use after O to help with progesterone. Helps prevent m/c

Apparently Vitex of Chaste Berry should help progesterone problems. I am not taking it this cycle. I will see what happens next. I was reading about LPD and it only mentions short luteal phase, and that was the reason why I was hesitant to take Vitex. I have been ovulating on cycle day 14 and AF has been showing her ugly self at about cycle day 33, last cycle was 32. I have done pregnancy test and they have all been negative, in fact when I went to doctor the last time I had my BFN and because AF had not started as yet she got me to do another test and also BFN. Now she should know that there is a problem and hopefully has some answers when we meet in September.

Have a wonderful day.
