I recently started taking MEt 1000 mg per day.
I got my first period while on met last Saturday and I am still bleeding and heavy, is this normal while in MET?
The times I had a period either becuase I took provera, or because it was naturally it was never as heavy as this.
I just want to know if any of you have experience this before?

Definately yes. I started met January this year. I have almost constant bleeding but have found since starting met that I have a few days were the bleeding is extremely heavy.

Sometimes so heavy I can't leave the house.

My counsultant assures me this is my body trying to regulate/normalise itself.

I noticed this too. My first period was quite heavy, but I hadn't had one in awhile. Since then, I have a couple of extremely hard days, and everything else is very light.
