Hi!
I am new here to this site. My name is Michaele (pronounced Michelle) I am married to a medic in the NJ National Guard who is over in Iraq for a years tour. We have been ttc #1 for 6 years now. I have PCOS and am obese and I/R. I just started on 1500 mg of metformin 3 days ago.
I would love to get to know everyone here, and get myself nice and healthy physically and mentally for when my husband comes home so we can start ttc again.
Any advice, suggestions and tips would be great!
Look forward to chatting!

you have found a wonderful spot, filled with some great information and more importantly with some awesome support......many things you are going through are things that someone(or many someones) has experienced. and if you look around, just about anything goes
have a good one................lisa

Welcome to SC! You will find so much info here, and so many wonderful "cysters"! I really hope you decide to stick around. It sounds like you are already on the road to getting healthy with the metformin. If you have any questions about it, it seems like we are all on it!
Good luck with the metformin, I hope you see good results. Stick with it! If you need anything, feel free to ask.

Thank you all so much for the warm welcome! I feel at home already! I do have one question though, while on the Metformin, is it true you can get real sick if you take it and let's say "one night" have a little too much to drink? I was told to stay away from alcohol because the effects of it are like double and you get real sick.
Talk to you all soon!

I have the occasional drink and notice no changes.

Welcome to soulcysters! I just wanted to let you know we've started a thread for military wives. Just a place to come and chat with other women who are going through the same thing. There are other women there who's husbands are also deployed. Obviously you should check out the entire site though...it's awesome and has so much info! Just wanted to invite you to join us over here too though!
