Just wanted to pop in and say hello. I was just diagnosed on Jan 23rd after years of irregular periods and my weight steadily creeping up I was referred to a specialist at my obgyn's office and he did a few tests and here I am. I have just one question. Does anybody have any suggestions for dealing with the side effects of metformin. My doc had me start at 1000mg a day but I'm up to 2000 and now the side effects are getting pretty annoying. Thanks.

I'm pretty new to this also and I have noticed that salads don't agree with the met. Anything fried or really sweet. I'm still struggling with it also. Its my 3rd week! Let me know if you find something else!!

I dont know what your side effects are - but I try to stay away from greasy/ fatty/ sweet things.
