I know what you mean, I feel like I write a book everytime I post, lol!
Are you feeling any better today? I'm sorry your appt got cancelled, that sucks! You get so excited and then that happens. Definately keep thinking positive. My mom was in town over the weekend and she and DP were already planning the nursery and I had to tell them to stop that we had not even inseminated yet and my mom said "you have to think positive" and I do, I just don't want to jinx things!
I was MIA over the weekend pretty much as well, my mom came to visit and we were out shopping and stuff, it was fun. I had lived in Florida for 5 years and only got to see her a few times a year but now that we are in the same state I get to see her more often which is nice. I'm kind of spoiled because I'm an only child.
See there I go again, writing a book. Hope you are feeling better!
I am feeling better today, atleast I can breath thru my nose! It is nice when you have supportive parents. My mom and MIL are both great. My mother actually went as far as to give my wife a turkey baster for christmas last year. That was pretty funny. My mom REALLY wants grandkids, I am the 2nd of 7 kids, but no grandkids. She and my MIL are conspiring to do something about getting me pg...they are bad when they get together!!!! Its good that you can see your mom. I work with my mom and MIL, we are all school bus drivers. So i get to see her alot, and my MIL lives with me so I see her 24/7! Well, it sounds like we both just have to think positive. When is your next appointment? and how are things going with the insemination department?
We should be writing a novel here!
I'm glad you are feeling better, I hate not being able to breath through my nose.
I agree about the good relationships, it really helps! There was a time that my MIL lived with us as well and we got along really well...then. I shouldn't say that, we get along now but I just have a problem with the way she treats her children (my DP and DP's sister). Everyone else (her friends, boyfriends, boyfriends children, etc) come before them and it drives me crazy! But the good news is that she lives in Florida and we live in Georgia so I don't have to deal with it that often.
Right now I'm just waiting on AF to get here, hopefully will be here next week sometime. I honestly never thought I would say that I hoped AF would come! Once that happens I will go to the dr on CD 12. For some reason my cycle ran late this month, I am on CD 30 today and have just started getting CM so I don't know what the deal is with my body this month.
How is your weather up there right now? We are having a beautiful week in the 70's everday, it gives me Spring Fever.
Thanks, there is some sort of bug going on around here. I only had half my students on the bus today and a lot of coworkers are out sick. I think it has to do with our CRAZY weather. It was nice here on Monday 65ish, Tues. is was sunny but 50's, soWednesday, sunny in am then cloudy in pm, and last night it was sleeting! Crazy crazy weather, it has just rained all day today. I am sure that is why this bug is getting to everyone!
I wish we had your weather-that sounds nice! I would have spring fever too.
Wow, it sounds like your cycle is like mine, all over the board! My biggest problem right now is that I don't AF on my own yet, unless my wife forgets to take her bc. For some reason even if she misses just one day, AF shows. Then she remembers and takes it the next day, it goes away! It so wierd.
Well I will be hoping of AF to show up for you! I know, when I talk to my friends and I say I can't wait for AF, they think I am nuts!
Are you charting your temp, etc? I just started doing that 2 days ago so I'm interested to see if it tells me anything.
That is terrible about the bug going around, I hope it doesn't come down this way. You're right though, probably alot to do with the weather. My mom has been really sick because she had been eating that tainted peanut butter that got recalled for Salmonella, YUCK!
You need to tell your wife just to quit taking her BCP so you can have AF, lol! I think that is one of the reasons mine have been coming a little more regularly because of DP and the girls I work with.
No big plans this weekend, wife has to work How bout you? Anything exciting? I will probably just hang out at home, clean my house.
The wierdest thing happened today. I was sitting at my computer reading my email, and I heard this plinking noise outside. So opened the front door and it was HAILING! It doesn't EVER hail here, and if it does, its the size of salt! But it was the size of like coco pebbles! I had never seen it so big here, I mean, I live in the desert for crying out loud. Wierd.
Speaking of temping, we just bought one last Saturday. I am having a problem remembering to do it before I get out of bed. I forget. I dont' know how I am going to get into the habit, any suggestions? I am interested in seeing also. Especially with the bc thingy, it should be interesting.
Well, I made it thru this week and only have 4 more days until my apptmt. I am trying not to think about it too much, but I am so EXCITED! hopefully she doesn't get the flu again...highly unlikely I am sure!!!LOL
We don't have any really exciting plans for the weekend, we moved into our house....wow, a year ago today, and still haven't finished painting some of the rooms so that is what we are planning on doing. Although, I increased my met dose last night to 1500mg and I'm feeling pretty queasy so I don't know that the painting is going to happen. They are saying we will have nice weather again today so we may head to the park for a picnic. The parks in Savannah are always interesting, you never know if you are going to see a wedding or a rugby game!
It used to hail in Georgia alot, I haven't seen much in the year that I've been back here...hail is one of those weird weather phenomenons to me...I mean it can be warm outside and there are balls of ice falling from the sky....thats just not normal!
My honey gets up before I do in the am so when she gets up I go ahead and take temp but this morning I forgot so I'm not doing so well either. I just keep it on the table right beside my bed. Do you have an alarm clock by your bed, maybe you could put it right by your clock. That doesn't work for me because my clock is all the way across the room...in theory so I won't hit the snooze button....yeah right.
I am even excited for your appt. so I can't imagine how excited you must be. Well, I guess I've added another chapter to the novel! lol
Sorry, I have had a crazy couple of days. Sunday we shopped all day! It seems like when ever my wife and I have time together, we always end up going shopping and getting things that we need to get done. Then it seem like all we did was run errands all day instead just hanging out. Oh well . I am bummed though cause she has to work the next 6 days morning and afternoon....which isn't usual. I am going to miss seeing her. We already hit and miss each other, I get up go to work, she goes to bed, I come home from work, she goes to work....and on and on. It really sucks! Enough whining, I hope you got your painting done this weekend. It was nice enough sunday that we washed our truck. It is so preddy! THen today, a bird pooped all over the hood...wouldn't ya know it. I guess that is what I get for having it parked in one spot all day, which isn't usual. I had to take some students to a school field trip to another school to play the steel drums (a city about an hr and 1/2 away). It made for a long day though. Driving and sitting for 8 hrs is hard on your body. Here I go again, whining! Now seating pitty party for one, pitty party for 1!
My alarm clock is at the foot of my bed so I have to get up and turn it off too...but I think I am going to stick it on my desk, which is an arms length away from my bed. Will see how that works. How is your temping going? Does it look the same every day? Mine is all funny. I mean I have only done it a few days but the first day it was 97.49(thur) 97.59(fri) 97.18. I just thought that was funny. Maybe its not. I don't know.
So, has AF showed up for you yet? I hope she comes soon for you so you can start your clomid!
Well, I think I have just completed another chapter in our novel!
Still no AF, just waiting! I know exactly what you mean, we are so corny, we always say we hate Sunday's because we miss each other so much during the week while we have to work. Even though we both work days it seems like in the evenings there is so much going on preparing for the next day that we don't spend any quality time together.
Wow, riding and sitting that long does sound exhausting, I hope the kids are well behaved!
We didn't get any paiting done this weekend, we did the same thing as you on Saturday we went shopping. Bought a new antique piece (okay, that doesn't make sense, a new antique?!?!) anyway, you know what I mean. Then went down and had lunch at a cafe and for a walk in the park. And we did get to see a wedding and a soccer game, it was fun.
My temps were up and down like that too, 1st day was 96.37, 97.50, then I forgot a day and I don't remember what it was yesterday. See, I'm not doing so good at it either!
Only 2 more days until your appt, right? Do you have all your questions ready? I didn't and was so excited that I forgot to ask half of the things I wanted to. And make your wife take notes so you have it all to go over again later.

Have y'all chosen a donor?
I guess we are both not doing too well with this temping thing. Maybe we'll get better. I hope so.
Yep only 2 days. I am really bummed though, my wife can't come with me to my appointment cause she has to work that day. She normally doesn't but someone else took the day off and she was the only one that could cover that shift. So I have to go by myself. So, I am going to have to write down the q's and try to remember the answers. I don't want to go by myself but if I rescheduled I wouldn't be able to get in for another 4 weeks so I had to compromise. I couldn't take another wait.
I am hoping to get a referal to another doctor so we can get pg! My wife just asked me about that today...when can we get pg...I told her as soon as we can! She is so excited to be a mommie.
Our partners can be such a great distraction....I love it. I can never get things done when she is around. Things can always wait when she is around. Isn't it great! I hope you get your painting done, maybe next weekend. What colors are you painting? That was a HUGE argument when we went to do that...we still haven't done it yet though. We have only painted the bathroom, it was actually my bday present last year. How nice, painting the bath for your bday? !
Well, I hope AF shows up for you, she never comes when she is supposed to or when we want her to. She needs to get on the ball, I mean really!HAHA
I have to go now, my MIL is calling....but I will finish this chapter later!
I think I've decided I'm going to stop temping until AF shows up and start on CD 1. If that ever gets here!!!
It sounds like we (and our wives) have a lot in common, mine is so excited about becoming a Mom she can't stand it. She was just telling me over the weekend how at random times throughout the day she just gets these waves of emotion thinking about us becoming parents. And I have to remind her that it hasn't happened yet and we don't know how long its going to take. Secretly I'm hoping that it happens on our first IUI but I know I'm dreaming!
Thats great that you got your bathroom painted for your birthday. Did you have to do any of the work though? My DP knows she isn't allowed to get me any "domestic" gifts for birthdays/anniversaries, etc. We have alot of earthy colors, our Living Room, Dining Room and bedroom is a color called Macadamia Nut, I love it. The color reminds me of coffee with cream. The kitchen is a brick red, and the hall and bathroom we are painting is going to be a sage green. Then finally we've got the guest room/nursery and I can't decided on the color for that room. I'm not a big fan of yellow but that is what I'm leaning towards.
Oh, I went to the gym last night for the first time in ages! It was really good because it is within walking distance of our house and there is another location within a mile of my office. I was super energized last night, it took me forever to fall asleep.
Well I guess I better get to work, hope you have a great day. I can't wait to hear all about your appt tomorow!
That is so funny. Our house is also earth tones, they were that way when we moved in. Our house is only 604 sq ft, so its really small. And yes I did most of the painting in the bath, but I love it. Our livingroom is like a green mud color, we want to paint it a brighter color though. THe hall is like khakie white, the bedroom is like sage green and my MIL's room is pink and yellow( the previous owners had a little girl in that room!) Our kitchen is wine red right now but my sister in law is going to paint bricks on the wall, they look so real and very cool. Thats our house! How funny we have some of the same taste in colors.
I thought about not temping too, but I figured by the time i get to CD1 it will be a habit! After I posted last night, I got a call from my sister in law and she wanted to go with me to my apptmt, so I figured that was cool. She and my sister have 2 kids together, she wants another but my sister says NO! So they are both really excited for us. It will be interesting.
That is great that you are exercising. I am trying to change my diet then I plan on starting to exercise in a week. My work is having a contest, like the biggest looser, and we only have 9 weeks. So I started with the diet this week, then next week I am going to start exercising, trying not to start out too strong so that I can hopefully stick to it. The winner gets $100! Money is always nice. I hope I win, but even if I don't, it will atleast give me an opportunity to start to try to get myself back on track. I know what you mean about exercising at night, I had a hard time when I used to go to aerobics at night. It took me a week to get used to it, then I had no problem. Or you can try to go in the AM...what ever works for you.
I hope you have a good day too. I will talk at cha later!
PS it is supposed to snow here today....I will be doing the snow dance today.
Today is the day, I can't wait to hear all about how your appt went. I'm glad your SIL is able to go with you, especially since she has been through the process. None of our friends have kids together so we will be the first. They are all really excited for us. I'm trying not to tell anyone though, I want to wait until I'm sure we are able to get PG first.
Its really funny how much we have in common, my wife's job is also doing a biggest loser challenge, she is part of their wellness team so she is coming up with all of the flyers and stuff for it.
We found this gym that is really cool, they are backed by doctors and they provide freshly made meals. They have a circuit type set up where you do a piece of equipment for 40 seconds, move to a recovery station where you do some weights or exercise ball type stuff, then move on to the next piece of equipment. The machines are hydrolic so you get resistance going both directions. Its really cool and the food is awesome. So we are going to try doing both the food and workout for a month and see what happens. If I could drop just 20lbs before I get PG that would be great. I will still be heavier than I want to be but every little bit helps, right? And I am so sore today I can hardly walk, its pretty hysterical! Maybe we can help keep each other on track!
So did you get snow? I hope it doesn't keep you from your appt. if you did! Hope everything goes great today! Talk to you soon!
I am so impatient. I have to wait an hour and I can hardly stand it. I am so excited. I took the rest of the day off of work , I was going to go get my hair done, but I won't have a vehicle to get there, so I had to cancel but I am going in on monday.. That is great you are working out. Yes, hopefully we can. I have been very bad today though, someone brought in a donuts to work this morning and I was starving sO I had one. I figured though, that is the only sugar I will have today! So , I will chalk it up to that. I will be better the rest of the day. Oh crap, I think I have to have my blood work today too. Crap! Oh well, what can I do now? Well, I have to go get my wife up for work, I will let you know when I get home how it went.
