Arrow hello

only just signed up and thought i would say hi my names blue im 22 and i have been diagnosed for about 8 years now so i am used to the effects of everything lol

i am in a lovley 6 year relationship and am awaiting a time of the month so i can have my scan (hycosy) i think to start taking clomid as we have been trying 4 years with no luck

i am currently suffering with weight problems i used to be a size 8 and i am now a 16/18 so thats causing a few problems been trying everything i can but nothing seems to be working at the moment
dont really eat that much so flustrated with that

i have been waiting 6 months for this particular time of month to come very annoying

i am taking metformin at the moment

does anyone else have this problem that because your time of the months are so far apart you end up convincing your self its because your pregnent and believe you have all the signs and everything and then just feel so unbelievably gutted when it isnt im at one of these stages right now and am finding it really hard to deal with

sorry for the long introduction lol

thanks for reading
blue

Hey Blue
I have also just joined I have had the same problem use to be a size 12 and sice my wedding in 2006 have gone to a size 16/18 while TTC. I can't get clomid as my doctor has told me that he will not treat me til i lose weight!! so getting very stressed and can't get the weight off!! in fact me and doctor are having a bit of an issue as he is saying that he thinks my only problem is my weight!! As I am a senior midwife have had other doctors look at my blood results who say that is is clear what the problem is but hey!!

Welcome Blue.
I have recently joined, but been diagnosed for over 10 years. How long have you been taking Met? I found once I started taking it AF was regular as long as I stayed on it. I also have had problems with weight for years and years. I have found that if I exercise even just 30 minutes 3 times per week and watch what I eat, I can lose weight. I have also made my mid day meal (usually around 2 pm) my biggest of the day.
As far as feeling PG, I used to feel that so often that when I recently had those symptoms I thought it was just effects of the Met. I did take one test which was negative. However, 8 weeks later I found out I was pregnant, but it was ectopic.
Do not let yourself get down about the complications from PCOS. The cysters here are great when you need advice, comfort or just to chat.

Hi petalpoppy, I am also a newbie here. just signed up yesterday. I just turned 24 and have been ttc since june 2007. I didn't know that I had polycystic ovaries until just this month. I was convienced several occasions that i was pregnant due to irregular cycles. That was until i did research then went to the dr to get a fertility evaluation. Wow was I ignorant. LOL I'm not on metformin but I had my first round of clomid days 4-8. It's CD20 for me now and still no positive opk. Trying to keep a positive attitude! I hope all goes well for you on your ttc journy and wish you the best of luck!
