I hope you ladies don't mind if I vent a little. I actually came to the rainbowed cysters board after reading a thread in the rant section about homophobia, and I have to say I was a little saddened and disappointed by some of the comments there. Not that I don't realize all the negative thoughts out there about gay people, but on a board like this where so many of us have been judged or ridiculed because of certain characteristics manifested by PCOS, it just seems even more disturbing to me. It's amazing how much ignorance is still out there. As a lesbian who also happens to be Black, and dealing with all the physical crap that comes along with PCOS (ie, weight issues, skin problems, excess freakin' hair, etc), I have learned to laugh at most of the bigotry and stupid remarks and I know it's their issue, not mine. I think I was just a little surprised to see it on a board like this. Thanks for listening to my little vent. Happy holidays everyone!!
