Hello, im Ellen from the uk, im 25.

i was diagnosed with PCOS when i was 17 after seeing an endo, before this i was misdiagnosed with having Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia, put on a course of steroids (dexamethasone/Hydrocortisone) for 1 yr and gained 4 st .
since i was diagnosed with PCOS i have been on Dianette and Glucosaphage SR, and found that it hasn't helped me at all...

i have had laser treatment for the excess hair with no good results apart from burning.

i am sick and tired of going to my 6 monthly app with my endo and having nothing but bloodests and then him saying see you next time,
its not good enough, so i have been searching the internet for other medicines i could take for this..

thats when i came across this Brilliant forum its great to find a place on the net where there are ppl with the same problems as me.

i look forward to looking through the many topics and posts on here..

there is so much useful information, Thanx to everyone who posts on here your all Stars!!!!

Welcome, Ellen! I'm also new to the forum and very excited to have found it ... hope your luck improves regarding your treatments. I was just diagnosed 2 days ago, so all this is new to me!

hello ellen. me again i got diagnosed with late onset cah - same year as i got dx with pcos.

your endo sounds lke mine. have they given you any other meds at all??
