Hello! My name is Caitlin and I was diagnosed with PCOS early last month. I am twenty years old and the most confused I've ever been in my life. When I first found out I went on an exercise and diet frenzy which I quickly fell out of. Now I'm trying to learn as much as I can, eat correctly and work exercise in as much as possible. I'm hoping joining this site will help immensely.
Today we got my fasting insulin tests in and it was double the limit of a normal persons. I think she said 48. And my glucose is normal. I just don't know what to do. I'm looking forward to finding friendship and help here.
Hello Caitlin! Welcome to the forum! I'm 21 years old , just joined and feel just as confused as you do. I'm currently trying to diet to get my weight down but I always seem to quickly get off the wagon somehow. Isn't it great to have a forum where we can relate to each other? Hello Caitlin! I am new to all of this too. I am 29 years old. I was diagnosed just last week. I did not have high insulin or glucose, but doctor is watching my insulin carefully. I too started dieting right away...It is incredibly hard for me to stick to a diet...hoping that now since it's health related I might stick to it longer. My husband is supportive, but it is still really hard for me want to stick to this. I have been reading threads and exploring this site...I find it to be so full of info. Everyone has been so nice.
