Hi I have just come back from the Dr.s today and now I know why my husband and I are unable to become pregnant.
It is what I thought ..... its PCOS
So my Dr has set me up with all kinds of things to do and I am so happy to get started
A little about me
My Husband and I have been married for almost 6 years and trying to conceive for almost all of that
Today my Dr put me on progestin Provera. Because I havent had a period since November. She also wants me to take birth control pills for 3 months . I was like WHAT!! when she told me that. I want to get pregnent not prevent it. But she told me that we needed to get my cycles under control and after the 3 months I start CLOMID!! . She told me there was no use starting it if I dont have a period to start with.
So thats my basic line up Hopefully by this time next year I will be poping out a baby!

Welcome! and congrats on the diagnosis. Sometimes that is the hardest part. Did she mention metformin at all? There is more and more evidence that suggests the underlying cause of PCOS is insulin resistance. Metformin helps with that. Even women who "pass" the insulin resistance blood test respond positively from met. It would be good to start that now while on the BCP and it should help the Clomid have a better chance of helping once you start that. I would ask the doc about the met. Good luck and keep us updated.
