Hello! I don’t really know where to begin…My name is Vanessa-Rose, but co-workers call me Vanessa, friends call me Nessa, & family calls me Ness. You can call me which ever works for you. :o) I’m 20 year-old and as of 01/22 I have been ‘diagnosed’ as having PCOS after multiple tests & ultrasounds. I’ve spent most of the last two weeks being poked, prodded & scared out of my mind.
I’ve been doing a lot of online searches & reading up on PCOS trying to figure out what it is & who the heck I can talk to about it. My mother found this site, a few days ago when she was doing her own research. I’m hoping that this will help me understand, because at this point…I’m still pretty scared.
To tell you a bit about myself…I’m 20 years old & am currently living with my boyfriend of a year in a northern suburb of Chicago. I’m an account manager in a company that distributes office supplies to office stores such as Office Max, Office Depot, Staples ect. It’s a really cool job & I’m also a local college student. I’m an art geek & have spent most of my life being a ‘dork’. I love to laugh & absolutely enjoy a good love story…though I’m a huge fan of the Rambo movies & Full Metal Jacket. :o)
I’m looking for friends & support…Great to meet you all! :o)
I'm new too!!! I was just diagnosed this week as well, so I VIVIDLY remember the poking and the prodding and the awkwardness. Except I happen to be referred to the same gyno that my algebra teacher goes to.
