Unhappy Hello - a need to vent

Hi to all. I am new to this forum, but not new to PCOS. I was diagnosised in 2002 and have tried to keep my head high and follow all the does and don't in an attempted to conceive. I have found myself at a place where as much as I want to believe this will someday be possible the lack of any kind of response to any and all treatment has started head me down depression road.
I have had 3 surgeries w/ the 3rd resulting in the complete removal of the right ovary in '05. After that I did regain a pretty normal period of 30-34 days and have still maintained that to this day. But, I still get frequent pain on that side. And am now dealing w/ edometriosis - oh well. My biggest frustration has been my weight (which I'm sure I am not alone) I'm 5'4" and float between 225-230 and can't seem to lose - will lose 5-10lbs but have yet to break that 10lb mark and have tried everything (healthy!) I possibly can. Now here is where I am going to get the TMI portion of my rant - tell me what kind of sex drive it a 5'4" 230lb person going to have? I have lost every ounce of it and you can't make babies w/ out the act of making babies. And believe me...I love sex - use to not get enough of it. My want and hurt for a child of our own used to be enough to help - but now it's almost. Has this happened to anyone else?
Also, I have been on the reguar met for some time now (can't take the RX for some reason - my body never adjusted to it) I had the normal basic side affects as I was adjusting but now have no real problems - I'm at 1500 now - my doc has suggested upping to 2000 possibly 2500 - is anyone aware of the normal met being perscribed at this level of dosage?

Thanks for the vent

I totally know where you are at. I was diagnosed in 2003 and I dealt with it, but my husband and I are having too many problems getting pregnant. I finally 0-ed for the first time EVER this past month, but no pregnancy. I'm about to start round 6 of fertility treatment. I have a hard time wanting to have sex since it seems to go nowhere. I take 2000mg of met a day. I started at 1000, but it just didn't do anything. I don't know what the "norm" is, but I have a lot of friends with diabetes and they are all shocked at the amount I take.
