Question Hello! New here....any advice?

Hello everyone! I am here here and hoping for some advice. I have not been diagnosed yet, although I am waiting on blood test results as we speak. Thyroid has been ruled as normal. Here's a little background:

I'm 29, and have a 19 month old son. Before getting preganant, I have always struggled with weight, but was only about 20 pounds overweight.

I gained a whopping 65 pounds during my pregnancy, and another 15 pounds of fluid retention in the hospital. I started losing rapidly at first, and then....nothing. No matter what I did. And then I started gaining! Fast forward to today and I actually weigh 4 pounds heavier than I did 9 months pregnant!

I found myself a great doctor who took the tests and said that if she cant get a clear answer from those, she will refer me to an endocrinologist. She even said it sounds like I'm doing things the right way.

I have been looking over the site and I saw that some of you have been taking apple cider vinegar and cinnamon supplements for IR. I just started that today! Will that do anything to interfere with me getting an accurate diagnosis? And for those who have been taking this, have you seen any results? Also, I cant cut out carbs because I am pretty much vegetarian!

If anyone has any advice to other things I could be doing to help this along, please let me know!

My other symptoms besides weight are:
oily face, scalp (never had this before)
terrible fatigue
skin tags under breasts and inner thighs
"foggy" feeling if I eat too many carbs
I'm sure there are others I'm not thinking of right now!

Thanks in advance for any help!!!

i am still trying to get diagnosised too. all i can say is that your symptoms are exactly what mine are. my doc hasn't officially diagnosised me since so far my thyroid test are okay.

You should also ask your doctor to send you for a transvaginal ultrasound....

Sparkle26 - I am 29, an established pcos patient :-) and now im ttc.... One year ago I was 40 pounds overweight. I am also a vegetarian, and when it comes to dieting our choices are very much limited...... I follow the Carbohydrate Addicts Diet, and it has worked for me... I prepare my own vegetable soup, i use lots of vegetables and drink two servings of soup in the morning and afternoon. I wait for my night dinner, itz called as the "reward meal", i can eat anything i want to eat within 1 hr time and i should eat equal portions of protein, carbohydate and fiber.....i prepare either rice or wheat tortillas for the carbs portion ...the first few days on the diet were pretty hard, now ive got used to the routine . I lost 30 pounds in 13 months..and I feel wonderful now...
