Smile Hello--a question or 2...

Hi new friends! I was recently diagnosed with PCOS, and I have lots of questions. Fortunately, your posts have helped clear a lot up already. Ayway, I am wondering...did anyone have increased underarm sweating?? I know that is a little gross, but I seem to have that problem.

I also was recently put on an antiboitic for my face, for one month. I have started Sugar Busters Diet hoping that lowering my sugar/carb intake will help my acne, so when I get off the meds, it won't explode again. Anyone had luck with Sugar Busters?

last one for now--My hubby and I are ttc and I am hoping the SB Diet will help me to ovulate. The thing is, I am at average weight, and don't necessarily need to lose any. Will the low sugar/low carb diet help the symptoms of PCOS even if you don't have to lose weight?

thanks dear friends! reading your posts makes me realize that I am not crazy. Sometimes I feel like body has turned against me and I feel horribly betrayed. I just get so frustrated when my body can't/won't do the very things it was created to do. can anyone relate?

yes i did start to sweat more, not sure if u want to say that it is related or not but i noticed it too...u arent crazy your body did turn aganist you a bit but now you know how to turn it back the right way... cutting down on sugar is a good thing diet is more important than we think sometimes...when i changed my diet i actually got my period a few times in a row w/o meds or anything else...it just got boring eating that way lol but GOOD LUCK w/ ttc and everything...welcome!!!

YES I DO SWEAT MORE AND HAVE A FUNNY SMELL WHEN I DON'T EAT RIGHT (YUk!). I AM 5'8 AND WEIGHED 135. MY DOCTOR PUT ME ON MET AND SB. IT WASN'T UNTIL I GOT DOWN TO 125 THAT I STARTED OVULATING. I GUESS JUST LOOSING A LITTLE HELPS A LOT. IN THE LAST YEAR I HAVE NOT BEEN GOOD AND HAVE GAINED THE WEIGHT BACK AND MY BODY FEELS ALL OUT OF WHACK. I AM NOW ON THE SB AGAIN AND HAVE LOST 5 LBS. HOPE EVERYTHING GOES GREAT FOR YOU!

re: sweating - I can't accurately answer that as I don't remember a time when I didn't sweat a lot! forget about wearing light colored shirts in the summer!

re: sugar busters...unfortunately can't help you there either. Check out the diet board if you haven't already. You may get more answers there.

re: low sugar/low carb and PCOS symptoms. Unlike you, I do have some to lose (aiming for a 30 lb loss total). But, I started the south beach diet a few months ago. I haven't been losing a lot of weight, but I find it has helped with my symptoms. I feel better, my weight is shifting around a bit so clothes fit better, my hair and my complexion are better. I'm not ttc (now or ever!) and on the pill, so I'm not sure about cycles. (Though I did get my period early for the first few months I was on south beach.)

again, welcome to soulcysters! I'd be lost without these women.
