 Hello! And a question about Met and heavy bleeding
First, this is my first post here but I've been reading this board for a while, so hello! and thanks for all the great information.
Second, I have a question. I am being treated for PCOS and Graves' disease with Metformin, Tapazole and Demulen, and my doctor is having me stop my Metformin for three weeks... I'd gone in dizzy and dehydrated with slightly elevated lactic acid so she's having me take a break from some of the meds.
My problem right now it that I've gotten my period (I'm on the pill) and it is really heavy, to the point of being hard to deal with (I keep bleeding though my tampons, etc). My periods USED to be like this back when I didn't take anything and was only having 1- 3 a year, but I've been having periods on the pill so I'm not entirely sure why this would be. Could it be from stopping the met? I've been on the pill for about 14 months and the Met for about 10. Maybe the demulen isn't strong enough without the met? Has anyone else experienced this?
