Question Help

Hey all

Well it has been 2 months since my m/c and now I need help. Last month for the first time since I was 15 ( I am 25) I had a normal period w/o meds. It was so weird, and I was so sad at first thinking it could have been another m/c. But after 7 days the bleeding stopped, just like a "normal" period does. I was ecstatic. I was supposed to start again on this past wed, and it came and went......so now I am wondering, am I pregnant???? or is this just my crazy pcos. So I do not know if I want to take a pg test or not. I keep going back and forth and I do not know what I should do. I have an appt with my OBGYN in two weeks so part of me thinks I should just wait until I go and see her to find out, but I do not know if I can wait that long.

The other thing I need help with is my hubby's best friend is getting married on Oct 29 and they found out last week that they are pg. Now I am happy for them, sad for myself but happy for them, but I am also just so worried about them, I just do not want them to go through the same loss we are going through. Is this totally pointless worrying???

Thanks girls for listening!

Hi. I'm so sorry about your loss. I would do a pg test and then keep your appt with the doc. I totally understand your feeling happy and sad.

((Karyn)). I think a pregnancy test is in order anytime we're suspicious.

As far as your friends, you're not crazy. After I lost Rivi, I wanted to run up to every pregnant woman I saw and tell her to have her doc keep a close eye on her cervix (I actually still want to!). I think that once you feel this horrible pain, you want to keep others from experiencing it.

I agree with Viv about these losses turning us into crazy vigilantes wanting to save every pregnant woman from our grief. But the fact is that most people will be fine. You can worry, but they will probably be just fine. And it is completely normal to be angry at the world for giving one person a healthy baby and you nothing. ((Hugs))

Definitely take a test, but don't assume that pcos is going to let you have normal cycles... *rolling eyes here*. It's nice to get one from time to time, but I wouldn't assume a normal pattern will happen until a few months after m/c, especially if you didn't have one before. But it's always a good idea to find out about a new pg as soon as possible so you can get care, especially a progesterone level check.

Best wishes,
Sheri
