Have you started any other medications? How long has it been going on? Does anyone else around you have a stomach bug? I had that same thing after I added in Wellbuterin, which is apparently a side effect of that. Ugh. Anyway- If you are feeling sick all the time, call your doctor- thats why they get paid the big bucks. Really, your doctor should know because diarrhea is not usually a good thing.

Do you have any other symptoms? Stomach hurt ,acid feeling, Heartburn??? Not to scare you cause it can be lots of things but I had this happen too and had to go off the met because I ended up with acid reflux and a alcer from the tummy troubles. Hope thats not it in your cause but you might want to try an acid reducer and see if it helps. Sure hope you find out the cause and hope you feel better soon. Let us know how it turns out.

I get this when I eat things I shouldn't while on met. If you're concerned you should definitely call your doc. As far as feeling sick all the time....I felt like I had the flu from Jan until July when I told my doc he needed to either give me the Met XR or I was going to go off of met period. No matter what I did I just couldn't get over the side effects. I've had much, much better results with the XR. It doesn't make me feel like I'm going to throw up all the time like the regular did. I hope your side effects go away soon.

Tiff123, I had the same issue. It lessened after 3 weeks, when I finished working up to my highest dose and stayed there. Once my body got used to taking the met consistently, it isn't so bad anymore. Avoid greasy and fatty foods, they only exacerbate the problem. I wouldn't worry about it too much unless it doesn't go away.

I got it a lot in the beginning. Now I can tell if it's the met or something else just by appearances (TMI). It does tend to be worse if I've eaten something I shouldn't have...
