With a blood test they can see where your hormone levels are. Testosterone, LSH, Progesterone, Estrogen, DHEA... the Dr should know what to test you for if he or she is pcos friendly.
Since you wer eon Met I am guessing that you have IR blood work or at least a fasting sugar test can help to see where you are with that. That needs to get under control to help with the hair and other symptoms that you may have.
Still you have to get those results back first so you know what is happening.
