Post help

my endo put me on metformin because my fasting insulin was 140 (this is canadian levels) and i went to the doctor today and he did one of those tests where he pricked my finger for blood (a sugar test??) and it was 3.1 the ER doctor FREAKED that my endo NEVER did a sugar/glucose test before giving me metformin....

the doctor said my glucose should be 6-8 and i was a 3.1, they have me oj with sugar....

what is a normal glucose level... is it 6-8?

Okay,i dont understand what 3.1 means because whenever i get my blood sugar levels checked they are numbers like 70.For me a good level is 90 -100.I feel good at these levels.Anything lower than 90 for me is hypoglycemia city!
