Unhappy Help!!!

i need some advice from some body thats "Been there"- I have acne scarring from PCOS- mostly on my cheeks and forehead(moderate to severe with shadowing). I am trying to decide what to do- I know that I want to have some type of treatmnet to remove them but there are so many options- I m thinking about derma brasion or a laser treatment- ive even read about punch grafts.-- ANYWAY my question is- where to start a dermatlogist or plastic surgeon?- and how do you know they know what they are talking about and not just tyring to "sell you a procedure"/- I live in rual GA- so if there is anyone out there who can reccomend some one in the atlanta or savannah area- please let me know!! I am ready to do something about this once and fro all.

I had scar revisions done on my chin. I do belive the punch graft procedure was used. I am happy with the results. I would recommend that you go to a plastic surgeon. I originally called my derm. who uses a plastic surgeon for this procedure. I also felt that the plastic surgeon knew all about this kind of problem. This is one of the things they do and they made me feel comfortable.
I also get my microdermabrasion by the RN there too. Also there are a lot of people at a plastic surgeons office who have had hand injuries. I was very surprised that it wasn't a bunch of superficial beauties who wanted face lifts. This comforted me too. I never felt weird being there. I hope you go to one. Don't worry too much about it. Get a referral from a derm. office or the best hospital in town. I paid 750.00 for the scar revisions. And I pay 100. per month for the microdermabrasion treatments. I will be done in July after having 12 sessions. It has done a lot for the surgeons scars. Less for my other "pitting" type scars. But now I don't have that many left. I am checking into Smoothbeam Laser too for them. This helps with acne, scarring, and wrinkles. Perhaps it would finish off the few I have left.
