I have just been given provera metformin and clomid but I am very confused my gyn said it would increase the chances of clomid working from 30 to 60 % but the trouble is when I got back and read the leaflet it is to treat diabetes as far as I know I havent got diabetes! so why have I been given this!

Are you Insulin Resistant? If not it is very normal for a doctor to give you metformin, to help with the clomid... if it hasnt worked already then the hope is that the metformin will help the clomid and bam your pg.

I would also suggest that you post these types of questions in the TTC forum... their are plenty of women there that have been given metformin or glucophage with clomid.
