My doc now has me on letrezole....when i am on the clomid my acne goes away....
Now with the letrezole it is back really really badly....
They are almost like boils...I don't know how to explain them...they don't get any white heads to them and I can't pop them, they are sore and they are i nteh middle of my cheeks. I have two large on each cheek right now and on my left hand side I have 5-8 smaller ones.....
I have tried proactive in the past and think I am allergic to it. It made my skin burn and turn bright red.
This is so embarrassing, I feel like I'm 17 and I didn't even get them when I was 17!!!!

Clomid: Mar,Apr, May,
June: BFP!!!!

I am so sorry you are dealing with this. I know what you are feeling. I too get the cysts that feel like they take up your whole face. What worked for me was to kill the bacteria first. I used Bactrim for about 10 days. This made them go down significantly. Now I do salicyclic acid and bp washes. I really feel for you. I dont know your whole situation, if you can take antibiotics, etc. But well I thought I would share what helped me.
I'm soo prone to the awfulness that is cystic acne too. I tried every product at the drugstore (plus proactive & zeno) and nothing worked. The only thing that has ever helped was BCP & Saw Palmetto. Let me know if you ever find soemthing else that works dear, best wishes

I used to get really bad cystic acne...where I used to have about 80 at once, my whole face was affected. It was such a ddepressing time for me, and still is when I get cysts.
I was put on accutane which cleared me for 5 years, but over the last couple of years my spots have come back. no where as bad as before, but some were cystic and scarring.
Have you tried Duac gel?? This is a topical antibiotic with clinamycin and bp. This is only available on prescription but the results even after a week for me were amazing. I have been on it for 5 weeks now, and wow what a difference. I only have 2 spots on my face right now, which is probably due to my time of the month. But if you have not tried this, I highly recommend it. If I had the choice 5 years ago for duac I would not have needed accutane!
