Do you have scars that are like dark, reddish marks on your skin, or scars that are actual pock-like indentions in your skin?

If you have indentions, I believe that only treatments given by a derm could help--resurfacing, laser, etc.

If you have reddish marks, there's over the counter products you could try. Neutrogena has two acne mark products--a peeling "mask", and a spot treatment. You could also spot-treat with a lightening product containing an ingredient that I believe is called hydroquinone.

Good luck!

Indentations/pock marks, I am pretty sure, can only be helped through Derm procedures, such as lasers, resurfacing, and the like. Red marks are more superficial and can be helped with creams, masks, etc. I have very large pores, a lot of red marks, and some indentation. What I have been doing to a mild degree of success, is exfoliating twice a week, I use Retin-A Micro every night and Finacea every morning. I do have a sulfur/clay mask that I use for the most oily spots. I also am on BCP to control breakouts and regulate. And I am on Spiro for the acne, oiliness, etc. I have my good days and bad days. Right now I am fighting a small breakout area. Other times I am cyst free. You can try any or all of these different things to help. I can say that I had laser done on me and it made no improvements at all. I think it just depends for everyone. Maybe you could see a Derm, and they could help you with what you are struggling with. Wish I could be of more help.
