Exclamation Help? Can make up cover up hair stubble?

ok, I have facial hair fairly bad, especially around my chin/under my chin (which cant be hidden by my hair like the sides of my face can be). Ive gone back to shaving but because I’m so pale and my facial hair is so dark (pitch black dark) even when u cant feel the hair or see the stubble u can still see the discoloration in patches on my face! Its frustrating and upsetting.

Ive never been big into make up but I want/need something to help me cover this up or at least not make it so noticeable! I do have oily skin, so I would need oil free stuff and I do have acne, I do tend to get quite a few ingrown hairs on my face which make breakouts more often, so I cant use stuff that clogs pores.

I am completely in over my head trying to find a make up brand and line that would be best for me and my issues… so any ideas/help/tips/experiences would be greatly appreciated!

I tried talking to a beauty cosmetician at shoppers drug mart, but I think I freaked her out and made her uncomfortable talking about facial hair, shaving and covering it up...

I have the same issue with pale skin and dark hair. Any full coverage liquid foundation will help a bit to mask the stubbly look, but I don't think you can completely mask it.

Part of the problem is that when the stubble does start to come through it the stubble shows up all the more obvious. And if you don't get every scrap of foundation cleaned out of your pores, then it'll clog up your razor and you won't get a good shave.

Default re: help!! we're a lot alike.. you and i!

First, let me just say that we should like two peas in a pod.. lol.. I am pale, oily skin, and gobs of facial hair.
Jet black! I have hair growth on the side (aka sideburns), on my upper lip(my stache), on my chin and a 3 to 4 inch span on the neck area under my chin.. that's just on my face. I shave, have for a long time. It seems like no matter what type of razor I use.. I can always feel stubble. Even when it's not bad or i've just shaved and it feels smooth.. there is still * the 5 o clock shadow *
I completely understand your crisis..
I do wear makeup quite often. It makes me feel better. I have found that MAX FACTOR ERACE COVERSTICK Fair shade, comes in a tube like lipstick, works wonders for that shadowy stubble, I use MAYBELLINE MINERAL POWER loose powder foundation in fair.. It's seems to work very well and the great thing about it is that midday you can just dust on a little of the loose powder to recover stubborn spots.. It takes about 5 minutes altogther and works good.. good luck and if you want to talk.. i'm on yahoo..

i have found that clean and clear morning burst cleanser works really great for my oily skin. i've never had acne ever.. but this helps cut down on the amount of excess oil i have midday..

Default hello

I understand what you are talking about! I shave as well. I am a makeup artist and really support MAC's tech foundation powder and concealer. If you need something less priced..I like revlon color stay. I like to apply a layer of liquid then powder for some reason. I still struggle with the dark hair and the pale skin! It's pretty bad. I am ALWAYS up for chit chatting with someone who is going through the same thing... divade60@hotmail.com feel free to email me if you wanna talk.

i have that also,, hair on chin and neck that has to be plucked.i wouldnt shave as it would irritate it and not last as long..the problems is i often have dry scaly skin on my neck from the plucking. almost any make up is good once it isnt really cheap and if its in your shade.,i definately recommend that..
