Default Help! Confused!

Ok. I started on Clomid in June. And since being on clomid (100mg days 5-9) I have had a real period every month. I have never had 6 periods in a row ever in my life!! So this was a huge thing for me. My cycles are like clockwork too during the last 6months. Well I just ended my period and this month was so weird. Instead of my normal pretty heavy 5day period, this month was 2 1/2 days and very very light. Any ideas why? My next apt with my Dr is December 6th, so I can wait that long to see him and ask him. But, I am very curious as to why this happened. Also, this will be my last month of Clomid before moving on to something else and I am supposed to take it day 5-9. Well my period didn't last 5days. Does that matter? All of this is so confusing to me..lol..Thanks for any advice you girls may have for me!!

Hey there - Clomid is know for thinning your lining. This could be the cause. There is usually a limit your doctor will set on Clomid and it looks like your doctor said 6 months.

It does NOT matter that your period did not go to day five. You count CD1 and first day of your period. The 5-9 is just the portion of your cycle that your doctor thinks you should be taking the medication.

If you don't succeed with with Clomid they will probably switch you to injectables, if you are curious or have questions come meet some girls here

Take a pregnancy test just in case it was implantation bleeding. Clomid can cause birth defects if taken while pregnant. It could just be that clomid has thinned your lining. It doesn't matter that your period ended early in regards to when to take the clomid. Still take it like normal (5-9).

I would still take it like normal days 5-9. I am on femara and I have had a wide variance in how long my period lasts since starting it. My doctor told me it is completely normal, and when the check my lining at my midcycle u/s it is always thick, so sometimes I just do not bleed a lot. Have you thought about trying femara?

Thank you so much for your answers ladies! I took a pregnancy test and it showed in the window that it worked. However, in the plus-minus window, nothing happened. I am sure I'm not pregnant. So it was probably just the Clomid making my period weird.

Oh yeah, and I plan to ask my Dr about Femara at next apt. I really am just willing to do whatever it takes! Thanks again for your help!
