Unhappy Help! Does this happen to anyone else?

The excess hair that I have frustrates me so bad because it grows back like a weed. It seems that the second that I remove the hair, it's already coming back. I seem to notice over the past few months a strange cycle going on. For about a week each month the hair is growing at its worst- faster and thicker then any other week of the month. I haven't had a period in forever and I just started birth control pills so hopefully when my period returns things will get better. Anyway, does anyone else see the hair growth get worse at certain times of the month? Thanks in advance!

Hi

I take Spiro for the hair, so it has slowed down a bit. Hope someone else can help better.

Hey Mollyj the hair issue also frustrates me so bad. For me the hair is at it's worse when I'm due or on my period.

Molly mine does that too. I have a lot of really dark facial hair (could be a beard if I let it grow!!) and it grows much faster when I am pre-menstrual. Which is also the same time that I get very depressed and anxious. What a double whammy!!

I don't have any solutions for you unfortunately. I'm hoping to save up for laser treatment to get rid of it for good!

Hugs
Kath

Molly, I'm on the same boat. Not only does the hair growth become worse right before my period, the hair on my head falls out more during that time too! Stupid hormones.. It MUST have something to do with the rise and fall of the estrogen/progesterone ratio or whatever. I'm thinking of giving natural progesterone cream a try.
