Default help with headache

I was diagnosed in April, but I just started Met today. I am on the XR 500mg twice a day. I was told to only take one a day for the first few days. I have the worst headache right now. Is there anything I can take? or avoid???? Please help....I can't stand this throbbing anymore!!!!
Thanks,
Sarah

WELCOME CYSTER!!!!

I'm so sorry you have such an awful headache. I hope you feel better soon. I'm not sure how your body is with meds, but when I get a headache I always take some IB Profin, that helps me. Now if it is on the border of being a migraine, for me that usually means my bloodpressure is up, so after I take about 3 IB Profins, i lay down and take a nap, when i wake up I always feel better.

Did you make sure to take you meds with a meal?

I hope you feel better soon!

Hi and welcome to SC! Sorry to hear that you have a headache. I'm not sure if that is one of the side effects of Met, but I have been having plenty of headaches lately too! Try some tylenol and hopefully it will help you!

Thanks, I wasn't sure if there was anything I should avoid taking for headaches while on met. I was finally able to get in touch with the pharmacist and they said that I could take anything. I am so glad it went away. It was awful. I am feeling much better today.
