Default HELP-how can I prevent another m/c ?

Dear cysters,

Sadly I am back on this board once again, after experiencing my second m/c. I am feeling so frustrated & discouraged & really doubting that I will ever be able to carry a baby to term--and yet this is the thing I most want in the world.

I am grateful that I seem to be able to get pg easily--on the 2nd try with IUI both times, and neither time have I needed Clomid.

In any case, I will search this board, but I'm wondering if any of you have any wise words for me to take to my doctor's appointment of May 28th. I'm thinking that I should up my metformin, start taking Clomid (as per my docs suggestion), and take baby aspirin too, and then start taking progesterone as soon as I get BFP. My doc, while kind & helpful is not a PCOS expert, so I feel like I should go in well-armed with good material.
I am also planning to see a naturopath soon. Oh and I am trying to lose weight again before I start trying (which will probably be in July at the earliest).

Any words of wisdom or encouragement most welcome! Big hugs to all the women here who need them.

I am sorry to hear about your loss. I too just lost my child, my first. You sound like you have the right idea. I am on Glucophage/Metformin 2000 mgs. a day for my PCO. It has helped me lose weight (about 50 lbs.). I did not have any problem getting pregnant. Concieved in the first month of trying. I am going to try again in September. My doctor is putting me on Clomid and going to moniter my hcg and progesterone levels to see if I need supplements. I have heard many cases where this works, and I think it is a step in the right direction. Just don't give up.

PLease remember to supplement with folic acid acid if you are ttc. It saves babies' lives!
