I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH PCOS IN OCT OF THIS YEAR 2008 I WAS BUT ON METFORMIN AND PROMETRIUM AND AM UNAWARE OF HOW TO TAKE THE PROMETRIEM I AM SCARED AND FEEL ALONE ALL THE TIME. I WANT TO KNOW IF I WILL EVER BE ABLE TO HAVE CHILDREN . I WANT A BABY SO BAD AND AM AFAID I WILL NOT BE ABLE TOO I AM SO HAPPY THAT THERE ARE OTHER PEOPLE GOING THROUGH THIS LIKE ME AND WOULD LIKE AS MUCH INFORMATION AS I CAN POSSIBLE GET AND WOULD APPRECIATE ANY ADVICE THAT COULD BE GIVEN TO ME AS WELL

Welcome and we are here for you !! I don't have children yet, I am not really trying to have any just yet..but many women on here that have PCOS do so be positive....I won't tell you that you can and I won't tell you that you can't everyone is different. But there is a forum on TTC and those that do have children and you can read all the wonderful success stories...as far as the meds...I am only on BCP so I hope someone else out there can help you with it...

Hello soul cyster. I was dx many many wth PCOs about 17 years ago when I was 17th. It is a scary condition to have, but it is not the end of the world. Please check out my story,... "There is Hope" Back then I was told I could never have children, but this year I had twins. I am taking 1500 mg of met daily. If I can help to ease your fears in anyway please let me know.
