Are you saying that you didn't have facial hair before this or that it has just become worse? If anything, I would guess that it was coming off the Yasmin that has stopped controlling your testosterone levels and now your facial hair is getting worse due to that.

Actually, I never had facial hair (or much of a weight problem or anything else) until I started dabbling with the pill at about 20 (meaning I'd go on it for 6 months, miss a couple months, go back on, then go off, etc.) But that was the beginning of the facial hair for me. It was manageable until I gained a lot of weight and developed full blown PCOS that it raged out of control. At this point I could be the main attraction at the circus

It's possible that the facial hair came about because you went off and on the pill so many times, because each time you do that, you are changing your hormones. Hormonal changes were one reason I was always instructed to stay on bcp all the time when I was younger.

I've always had more facial hair than other girls, but mine sprung out of control when my PCOS reached it's all time high about two years ago, which happened to be after I stopped the bcp the last time. Finally, once a doctor listened and I got put on Yasmin, things got some better. I still have more hair than "normal" but at least it isn't the coarse dark kind like I used to have.

I'm sure you're right - I wish I'd known then what I know now, although I imagine this (PCOS) would probably have happened anyway...

Default Hi Im new!!

You say that you used to have coarser facial hair before you started yasmin , was yasmin the only med you were given to help with this problem or did you use any other meds.
