Default help-- I'm brand-new and miserable

Hello ladies:

I was referred over here by a storkie over at storknet. Don't know if anyone in this group is over there as well.

Long story short-- I have a tentative diagnosis with lots of classic symptoms. I have no insurance, so we are moving forward slowly.

About 6 weeks ago I was put on ortho-tricyclene to control my cycle. Well, it is helping (still not quite right) and I've noticed other symptoms are lessening. I am also on Weight Watchers- about 8 weeks in.

The problem is that I used to have a great sex drive. I am absolutely miserable because its gone. I emotionally and mentally am interested, but my body is not only not responding, but it going "ick that doesn't feel good." We are doing all the good stuff, so I am not looking for advice on that.

I need to go back to the clinic in March -- do I stay on these things until then? I either have to get a better formula for me or I will go off them.

I mostly need sympathy and advice on what pills I should consider if this is a big issue for me.

Thanks so much!

if you're having problems with ortho tri then you should defenitely discuss that with the people at the clinic. I got put on ortho tri cyclen through planned parenthood because I don't have insurance and they are very nice and helpful if you have a problem with the pills you're on. Most clinics will talk to you about options. They asked me if I wanted to switch off ortho-tri last time I was in but I said no.

They may put you on a lower dose hormone which could help your sex drive. Mine decreased the first few months I was on it but it seems to be increasing now. Of course I'm single so it's not so important.

My sex drive was greatly lowered on Ortho TriCyclen as well. I would try to find another pill and see if that helps.
