Default help I'm feeling so sick!!

Hi Ladies

I really need your help here.
I have started Metformin just over a week ago, I started with 500 mg which was fine no real side effects. I have started to add another 500 mg in the morning and also the 500 mg that I already took at night. I feel so sick its unreal, I feel extreamly nauseous and do throw up eventually throughout the day. I think I rather have loose stool than this sick feeling. I do take the metformin with food always but I still feel so sick! I'm already thin I really don't want to loose weight........!!! I have to work my way up to 1500 mg, I honestly don't know how with the way I feel!!
Does anyone know how the make the nauseous feeling better?????
Thanks
Baby Bee

try to avoid really sugary or fatty foods, those will make it worse.

if your body isn't ready for 1000mgs yet, why not give it another week with just the one pill per day? and then try two pills again.

Also something I found very important when I started...... was DO NOT let yourself Dehydrate......

drink lots of water...... anytime I let up on drinking water my naseous feelings got much worse or even came 'back' after having gone away.

There is a lot of tips in the Metformin forum post your tips on dealing with gluc/met side effects here at Soulcysters on how to ease side effects.
