Always had normal AF, until I started clomid, then my cycle went from 28 - 38 days. Also, I have always had a light Af but once again it went from light to just dark spotting.
So now DX in December and have been on 1500mg of met since. So, this is my dilemna, I have not had AF since. I had some spotting about 40 days ago, and RE said my progesterone was still high and that is why no AF, and it should be on its way. Well, nothing. I feel like crap, my stomach is a mess, my lower back hurts and I have headaches everyday and of course BFN on hpt!
I went from normal AF to none, help! I go tomorrow for blooodwork but just wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them.
Also, I am so frustrated, and keep hearing my family say that maybe it is time to adopt and stop making myself sick with all the hormones. I am so open to adoption but I also am not ready to stop trying, but I am so discouraged because no AF no TTC! I am just so confused!
Thankfully I have a great DH, he has shielded from talking to family about TTC and adoption. They have all been told to lay off me about it all. I can tell it is getting to him but he says I am going through enough without hearing from my MIL every other day about stuff she read on the net about adoption. Of course there is my Dad who says he would be glad to help us if I promise to stop all the meds! UUUGGGHHH
I just want to scream! Thanks I needed to Rant, but seriously anyone out there go through this BS? Please share!

Dh and I have decided adoption is right option for us!
Our son Sam was born 11/07/03 and came home to us on 11/12/03, oh the miracle of adoption!

Dear tke,
I'm sorry to hear you are going through such a hard time.I also have been on met 1500mg,but it has done wonders at regulating my cycle...exactly 33 days...it took a few months though.I can honestly share your ttc frustrations.BF and I were trying last year for 8 months with no success....I was thinking of clomid, but we decided to wait and put ttc off until the end of this year to put certain aspects of our lives together.I am 31 and am not giving hope....of course adoption is always an option but not one I am willing to make just yet....and hope I never will. It's great that you have a wonderful supportive hubby....I think your familly is just concerned with your health because they love you and they probably also hurt to see you suffer...but ultimately you must follow your heart and do what's best for you.Take care hon.Soya

I too felt really awful on clomid, and this was back in the late 80s when it was normal to keep you on it for 12-16 months, with ever increasing doses. I never conceived on clomid, and since then they have realised that some women are "clomid-resistant".
With DS#1, I finally got off all the drugs and conceived "naturally" after getting my weight down. With DS#2, I was already 34 when we started to try, and my (new) RE said that since my weight had crept back up, I wasn't getting periods, and clomid hadn't worked with DS#1, that we should go straight to injectibles.
Well, I conceived DS#2 on my FIRST cycle of injectibles! After months of grief on clomid, steriods, HCG injections, the whole bit for DS#1....
So that is my story. My advice (and you can take it or leave it, obviously), is that if clomid isn't working for you, get off it and go to the next step. I think all us cysters at the board know how you feel about family telling you what to do. You have a supportive DH and the two of you shoudld continue to walk the path together and ignore your family's well-meaning but illi-timed advice.
Good luck to you.
