Unhappy HELP...I need honest opinions

Hi All,

Well, I got PG in Nov 02 from my first IVF cycle. We had 5 blast frozen. Sadly I MC'd our angel on 12/10/02 3 days after seeing the HB at 7w3d.
We just did a FET on 4/15/03. We put 3 of the 5 blasts in. I didn't think it worked at all. But to my surprise we found out I am PG again on 4/24/03. My first beta was 43.8. Then 2 days later in only went up 49% to 64.3, then 2 days later it went up 75% to 112. We just went for another beta on Friday and it was 529. Plus we had an US and the doctor told me don't be surprised if we don't see anything because your numbers are slow (and they did the US a day ealier too). Well, to all of our surprise he found a 4.3 mm gestational sac. When the nurse called to tell me my numbers she said all though they more than doubled they are still low. She said they should be in the 1000's-1500 range for as far long as I am. I am 5w2d along. She said it's just a wait and see right now. I am SO worried that I am just going down the same path as last time when I MC'd. Last time my beta's were:
1st beta=93 then 2 days later 111 then 2 days later 238 then 4 days later 3,075 then 4 days later 8,130 then I MC'd 3 days later.

Please give me your honest opinion if you think this is a MC waiting to happen. I've been taking 2 shots a day of PIO and I don't think I can feel my hips anymore. The nurse did say maybe it's a late implanter or maybe more than one started to implant. I can't help but to feel like this PG is doomed like the last one was. And that one was SO hard to deal with because we saw the HB. I still miss that baby SO much. Next week is Mother's Day. I didn't know how I would handle that day anyway but now it's going to be even harder if we get bad results on Friday. And of course NO ONE in either of our families would every say anything to me because I am sure they don't consider me a mother because I didn't have a fully formed baby. But in my heart I know I am a mother to my little angel.

Sorry to go on girls. I am just SO SO sad and worried.

Hi Mich,

My gut feeling is that maybe it's a late implanter. I think it's a positive sign that your numbers are going up, even if it is slow. I will say a prayer that everything works out for you.

Hi Michelle
I can't offer any wisdom to you as I am pretty clueless about the rate that levels should rise. What I do want to say though is that I hope stabib is right and that this little embie is a late implanter. It can definitely happen!!!! Sending you lots of positive vibes and baby dust.

Hey Mich...

My initial beta was 44.7 which was considered low...I only had a 4 cell to transfer, not even as good and the blasts you have...My RE doesn't do betas evey other day but once per week...As you can see in my signature, my numbers doubled but I don't know if it was daily...I just wanted you to know, that even though your numbers may be low, try not to worry...44.3 isn't really low anyway...Try to think positive and I'm praying for you!!!!!

I have no experience with what is happening with you. I just wanted to say stay positive and I'll send prayers your way.

((((((((HUGS))))))))) I really don't know if you are doomed for another m/c or not. Just wanted to let you know we are all here praying for you and baby. Are you experiencing any cramps or bleeding?

Smile Thank You

Hi Girls,

I can't thank you all enough for all your support and prayers.

I haven't had one bit of bleeding, spotting or even that creamy yellow mucus (sorry gross I know) that everyone speaks of. As far as cramps I have very dull AF type cramps on and off since the day of my transfer. I spoke with the doctor and the nurse and they both said it's normal.

Thanks for all your prayers keep them coming. I will keep you all posted when we find out what's going on Friday.

I had very slow risers also, and all ended up fine. My first beta was 6 and then 2 days later it was 24, and then two days later it was 64, and then 2 days later it was 84. I was sure it was gone then. This was on a TH. We had another test done on Monday and it was 500 something...still weren't too confident....but the following monday it was 5000 and we were able to see a sac on wed...didn't see much but a sac and we did another beta on th and it was 8000 something, so didnt double either...but two weeks later there was a heart beat and everything has been fine. We think I ovulated late and implanted late. Good luck and I hope things go the way they did for me. Take care!
