Hi All,

Just got my most recent labs. My insulin is at 39. This is after a month and a half of met at 1700mg/day. It actually increased from the last time when it was 27. I have been trying to balance out my carbs with proteins and not eat ridiculous. Any suggestions or comments, or is my met just not high enough. I don't have many side effects with it when I went from 1000 to 1700/day. Any help is really appreciated. I just was diagnosed in the winter and still do not quite understand it all. BTW>...fasting glucose is normal.

This must be really frustrating for you! Are you on the IR diet? I have heard that it works for a lot of cysters. I really felt like the combination of met (1500 mg/day) and losing weight (Slim-Fast!) helped my PCOS a lot. I am also type-2 diabetic and that has remained under control despite the fact that I have gained much of my weight back since my pregnancy and during the 10 months since my daughter's birth!
