Default Help for Keratosis Pilaris - bumps on your arms

Hi ladies -

I have had KP my entire life and never knew what to do about it. I recently started using Eucerin Plus Smoothing Essentials lotion twice a day and it has made a HUGE difference. My arms look so much better! I still have some of the red dots, but I don't get as many of the bumps (that I tend to pick, which makes the problem 10 times worse). I noticed a difference pretty quickly, but have been using it religiously for about 4 weeks now and it's still improving.

I've tried the Dermadoctor KP Duty lotion and I think this actually works better. It's also much cheaper so you can actually afford to use it on large areas twice a day. I think they even carry it at Costco I could never afford to use the KP Duty lotion twice a day.

Here's a link: http://www.eucerinus.com/products/hb_plussmooth.html. It has Alpha Hydroxy and Urea which are both supposed to help KP.

I hope this helps! It's made me much happier.

Thanks, KatieJo! I, too, have the arm bumps made worse by picking. Will try this out!

I've always wondered what that was called! Thank you!

Now I'm going to have to see if I can find that stuff. Those little bumps on my arms and legs drive me absolutely NUTS.
