hi all, i just got off the phone with the endo and she said that my insulin numbers was 17, she said that right at the high level.
what is she talking about?

Is your dr refering to your fasting insulin number? If she is according to the book I have 15 is at the high level so 17 is in that high level range.

If that is a fasting insulin level, you are correct that it is high. Preferred values are less than 15. With that said however, the first fasting one they checked on me was 153 and I was ecstatic to get a 17 at my last check up!

Don't know how new to this you are, but if your fasting insulin is high you are very likely insulin resistant and may benefit from treatment with Glucophage (Metformin)

thanks for the info, it was a fasting insulin level.
i didnt eat anything from midnight on untill after the test.
i go and see the endo next week.
