A TSH test isn't enough to evaluate your thyroid function. The TSH number can fluctuate as much as 3 points during the day and it isn't a reliable measure of your thyroid (in fact, TSH is a pituitary hormone, not a thyroid hormone). The newer recommended range for TSH only goes to 3, not 5.5, although many labs are still using the older ranges. Many experts believe that anything over 2 is suspect for hypothyroidism.
You need more tests (Free T4, Free T3, and if those aren't at least at the midpoint of the lab ranges, then a TPO antibodies test), especially if you are having symptoms.
Looks like the Spiro is doing its job to lower your testesterone!
