Default Help me with questions pleas

Hi there... I am hoping that some of you can help me develop some questions that I need to ask the dr. I am going in on the 29th to have my labs read and my ultrasound read to me. I already know that I have many cysts on both ovaries and since they think it is PCOS I need to go in ready to ask questions. If you know of something that is good for me to ask (since I am clueless) can you please let me know. I would really appreciate it. This site is such a blessing for those of us just starting the process of learning about PCOS. Thanks so much everyone. Here are the two I have... By the way can you also explain to me what CBC labs, C Peptide labs, and Lipid labs are?

1. Do I need to have insulin resistance testing?
2. Was CBC labs included in the ones I had done?
3. Do I need to have fasting glucose, fasting insulin, C peptide, and Lipid Labs done?

Thanks again

jstewart,

If you go under the forum "find a doctor" there us a list of questions by kat that you can ask your doctor. That's what I'm bringing to my next appt. Also, there is a post (I tried looking for it) that has a list of all the symptoms/tests for PCOS. If you have an hour to spare, really search through this site, it's so helpful and amazing!

I would suggest you look into these threads and read the information on there. They have questions to ask your Dr and then How to read the results of your tests. I personally had a fasting gluc tolerance test and had blood work and ultrasounds to get my Dx for PCOS. Here are the links:

Hope this helps!!
