Did you take your Met the morning of your blood test? If not, then maybe that shows how your body reacts without Met (it overproduces insulin). If you took your Met the morning of your test, I really don't know how to answer your question. Met has been shown to help normalize cycles in non-IR women, so there's more to Met than just the insulin-sensitizing action.
Some women need to take another drug along with Met (such as Avandia, or Avandamet, which is a combo of both), or instead of it.
