Has anyone on here had one or more failed rounds of prometrium?

My first round I spotted right after finishing my last pill. It was very light spotting and only lasted 2 days.

My second round I started spotting on day 7 of taking my prometrium and spotted for 7 days. It was varying between light and heavier, mostly it was brownish, but never required anything more than a panty liner. Definately not the kind of AF I am used to. Was that AF?

Please, please.... I am so depressed about this that all I want to do is cry.

Add that to the fact that I am super-bloated from the prometrium pills, the fact that they make me sad, and completely sap my energy doesn't help.

I feel like I want to give up! My RE says that I am to double the dose next month if no AF... but I don't know if that WAS AF or not!?!

Has he run a DHEA test on you? Your estrogen could be low which would cause your prometrium not to work.

I have basically the same thing I am on my third round of it... af is here now and well my doc says that is normal and that the spotting I am having is af... but definately talk to your doc....
