Default HELP a Newbie!

Hi everyone! I have a question about menstrual cycles and PCOS. I was tentatively diagnosed in early 2006. I say tentatively because all I had was bloodwork done and the insulin resitance was a little high. I was put on met and told to monitor my sugar levels. A few months later, I ended up pregnant. I don't really know "for sure for sure" if I have PCOS but it's a pretty good guess!
Anyway, my baby is now almost 20 months old and after not having luck on 3 different birth controls, i decided to stop taking them. That was Aug 26. It is now Oct 8, 44 days later, and still no AF.
Is this normal? If I do have PCOS, how often should I get my AF?
Thanks everyone - this all new to me and I hope to find this message board to be great help!!!

Hello and welcome

PCOS is diagnosed through blood work so i would say, if they tested you, then yes you do have it. A period with PCOS is really different from woman to woman. Some of us don't ovulate and we don't get a period unless we take meds for that. Others have regular periods. So it really depends on each case.
Are you still taking met? That might have been what helped you get pregnant last time and it might also help regulate your period. I would probably be best to go back to your dr and see how your levels are and figure out what the best option is to get your PCOS under control. HTH!

Best wishes!
