I was diagnosed approx 1 year ago and put on birth control since I am not planning for anymore children. I recently was getting frustrated because I am still having problems with acne and weight. I have been dieting and exercising 5 days a week, 2 with my trainer. I have been doing things the "right way" but could not lose anything. So I went to a specialist this time. (my diagnosis was from primary care and OBGYN) The ran a bunch of tests and came to the same diagnosis, PCOS. The switched my birth control to Yaz and added 500 mg of Metformin. I think they are hoping that with the Met I may be able to loose some weight.

Has anyone had this same problem? Any other treatments out there that have worked? I am not trying to have another baby, I just want to loose weight and get healthy.

welcome to sc. i dont know what you are eating, but for me i found i am intollerant to wheat/dairy and since stopping eating them i have been able to lose some weight.
