Help questions about injectibles confused...

Okay today is cycle day 9. I started on 2 vials of repronex on day 3. On the third day I had my estradiol checked and it was 121. Then on the 5th day it was 443. My doctor said that was good and to take only one vial that night (which would have been day six of injectibles). Well back to today. Today is day 9 of my whole cycle and they had me come in to do a follicle study. I had two follicles at size 11. He said this was good to continue on only one vial per night thru the weekend and come in on Monday. But that is not very good is it? Monday will be day 12. They only grow 1 to 2 cm (not sure of follicle size units?) So they still will be to small right? So my question is I have lots of extras should I continue with the two? Do you ladies think it would hurt anything? I am thinking of doing two vial tonight, and tomorrow and one on Sunday. What do you think? I would appreciate any advice as I have to take my shots at 8. Thanks in advance.

I have taken Repronex three separate times. Each time my body stimulated differently. So stay encouraged. Your E2 numbers sound great, sometimes the follicles just take longer to grow. One cycle I stimmed for 17 days. I was also tempted to use more, but the docs know best. I would stick with the dosage your Re said to take. You don't want to risk getting OHSS.

Don't take two vials. You already have two follies, you don't need to recruit anymore. taking just the one vial will help those two mature. If you take two tonight and continue on that pattern you could cause more to start maturing and if you have 5 mature follies they will cancel your cycle most likely. Do what your RE said and if you feel like it's not aggressive enough, call and let them know.

Okay I guess so I just thought they had to be the right size by day 12 or that was it no more hope is that right? I have tons of ewcm. I did not say it but I am not doing ivf or any of those procedures. Just the injectibles , a trigger and plain old hot sex with my hubby (lol). I am just so scared thinking they might stop growing.

I'm new to injectibles (plan to start next cycle), but I'd stick to what your doctor orders. If you start messing with that and things go wrong, you could have wasted the whole cycle if it gets cancelled or something. The other good sign you have is that a good egg gives an E2 result of 200, so your number over 400 shows two good eggs in there.

Lastly, unless you have a 3rd or 4th egg that's almost as big as 1 and 2, kicking up your injection amount now isn't going to suddenly make them, so far as I know. You'd have had to be taking the extra amount from the start of your cycle to recruit the follicles to grow from the beginning.

Thanks so much well I will stick with the 1 vial as my doctor said. By nature I am impatient so this has been hard for me. I am feeling crampy as well I just started that this evening. Last cycle was a repronex clomid combo and I made one follicle at 21 and he triggered me. Do they trigger at sizes less than that?

with straight injectables they will likely trigger before that. Probably when your lead follie hits 18. All hope is not lost on cd12, if the follies are bigger than 12 and your e2 is doing something they'll probably keep you on the one vial. If neither grow or e2 drops they'll probably put you back on 2 vials. There is a newbies to injectables thread on here and everyone is going through the same as you... it might be a good place for you to vent and stuff. Good luck and keep us updated!

You might end up having more on Monday, but even if you don't, it sounds like these follies are growing nicely. When I did Repronex my follies were really slow going at first but then got really crazy after awhile and they reduced it to almost nothing. Your doctor is being very smart by being cautious. Well on yesterday I had on my right 2 follies (18, 16) on my left there was a 16. He triiggered me with ovidrel yesterday morning at 11. My lining was 9.5. What do you ladies think? Does that sound like I have a shot at it. I was thinking he may have triggered me too early. Aren't those follies small?

No, that could work---they still grow some before actual ovulation, so hopefully, there will be a 20 and two 18s, by the time they pop out. Are you doing IUI? If not, BD today and tomorrow and maybe the day after that too. And your lining is good.

With injectables, eggs become more mature inside of smaller follies. So with clomid you would ideally want 22 lead follie at trigger, with fsh you would want an 18 lead follie, and with an fsh/lh combo i believe the lead follie could be triggered at 16. Sounds like you'll do well. good luck.
